A quick snack for anytime of the day. Pepper cress is part of our Grow Book Spicy Edition and is one of our favorites. Pepper cress grows super fast and is absolutely delicious.
- 8oz fresh goat cheese
- 1 medium shallot (chopped)
- 2 tablespoon vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sliced chives (optional)
- 1/4 goat milk or half & half or water
- Salt & pepper to your taste
- Sliced bread or crackers.
Add all ingredients into a small bowl and start mixing using a fork.
Mix slowly and gently, work the ingredients together. Add more liquid to change consistency to your liking.
This is essentially ready for consumption, it is your choice how to apply the goat cheese, while you can stuff an omelette or top some smoked salmon we opted for a simple toast. All that requires is your favorite bread.
We opted for a sunflower baguette (wholefoods) thinly sliced it is perfect. To prevent the bread from getting dry we applied some olive oil prior to grilling.
Just drizzle some oil and spread using a knife.
Toast the bread to your liking and cool down. Apply goat cheese and
top with freshly harvested micro pepper cress....oh yes.
